FoodScore

Lead Editor, Nutrition & Methodology

Lena Voigt

Lead editor at FoodScore. Owns the methodology page, editorial principles, and every rewrite of the scoring rubric.

Lena leads the editorial desk at FoodScore. She spent the better part of a decade writing and editing consumer health content — nutrition labelling, food policy explainers, evidence reviews — and joined FoodScore to turn the USDA Dietary Guidelines into a score people can actually use at the grocery store.

She is an editor, not a clinician. She holds no RD/RDN or medical credential, and she is upfront about that on every page she owns. Her job is to make sure the claims published on FoodScore stay inside the fence of US government references (USDA DGA 2020-2025, NIH DRI, FDA Daily Values) and accepted dietary science, and that every calibration change in the formula is documented before it ships.

Lena writes the methodology page, the category introductions, and the editorial principles. She reviews every per-food editorial generated by the content pipeline against the scoring rubric, and she signs off on news articles before they go live.
