Red Bull

Red Bull is an Austrian energy-drink brand launched in the US in 1997. The 8.4oz Original can contains 27g of added sugar, 80mg caffeine, 110mg sodium, taurine, and B-vitamin fortification. Sugar-Free and Total Zero variants swap sucrose for aspartame and acesulfame-K, clearing the sugar penalty but keeping NOVA at 4. Red Bull is primarily a stimulant delivery vehicle, and the FoodScore is dominated by added sugar (regular) or artificial sweeteners and caffeine context (sugar-free). Our pages score each variant individually and compare to Monster, Celsius, and plain black coffee.
